KOTA THE FRIEND to Headline THOP Fest 2026 in Fontana, California

Independent hip-hop standout KOTA THE FRIEND is coming to Southern California to headline the ninth annual Happiness of Pursuit Festival, better known as THOP Fest, on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Taking place at Stage Red in Fontana, California, THOP Fest 2026 will bring together established artists, emerging talent, visual art, skateboarding, local vendors, nonprofit organizations, and independent hip-hop fans from across the region.

For fans searching for an upcoming KOTA THE FRIEND concert in Southern California, the Inland Empire, or the greater Los Angeles area, this will be an opportunity to experience one of independent hip-hop’s most respected artists live.

KOTA THE FRIEND Comes to the Inland Empire

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, KOTA THE FRIEND has built a dedicated following through his honest songwriting, laid-back production, and commitment to remaining independent.

Rather than following a traditional industry path, KOTA has developed his career on his own terms, cultivating a direct relationship with listeners around the world. His music frequently explores personal growth, fatherhood, independence, ambition, relationships, and the everyday realities that shape his life.

That independent spirit makes KOTA THE FRIEND a natural headliner for THOP Fest—a festival founded to provide a platform for independent artists while celebrating hip-hop culture in all its forms.

KOTA will perform on the festival’s indoor main stage at Stage Red, giving Southern California fans the chance to hear music from throughout his catalog in a live festival setting.

A Major Hip-Hop Festival in Fontana, California

THOP Fest returns in 2026 after taking a year off, bringing the festival to a brand-new home at Stage Red in Fontana.

Located in the Inland Empire, Fontana is easily accessible to fans traveling from San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties. The new venue allows THOP Fest to offer both an indoor concert experience and an outdoor festival village.

The outdoor portion of the festival will feature the Common Ground Stage, local vendors, nonprofit organizations, live art, graffiti, and a skateboarding demonstration. These outdoor areas will be free and open to the public.

A paid festival ticket is required to enter Stage Red and watch KOTA THE FRIEND and the other indoor main-stage performers.

Additional performers include Intuition & Equalibrum, Trizz & Friends, and more than 50 independent artists appearing across the festival’s indoor and outdoor stages.

Since launching in 2017, THOP Fest has provided a platform for more than 300 artists while bringing together music, art, skateboarding, entrepreneurship, and community programming.
